Best Gaming Keyboard Reviews

These gaming keyboard reviews are on site and contain details about specific gaming keyboard models. They are here to help you in your search for the best gaming keyboard for you:

  1. das model s professional
The Das Model S Professional mechanical keyboard is very much a stripped down keyboard. It is a mechanical keyboard with cherry blue mx switches. These switches are gold plated. They are both tactile and they are audio. When pressed down the keys transmit a bump feel (tactile) to your finger tips and they make a click noise (audible) for you to hear.
  2. das ultimate
The DAS Model S Ultimate Mechanical Keyboard is built using cherry blue mx switches. The contacts on the cherry blues are gold plated. Cherry blues have the clicky typing sound and use medium key press down force.
  3. Logitech G110
The first thing you'll probably notice about the Logitech G110 is the sleek appearance. The keys have backlighting to make them visible, even in low light situations or at night. It contains both red and blue lights inside, which can be mixed to create any color from green to purple or even pink. You cannot adjust the specific brightness of the lights, which is a minor downfall but not necessarily a deal breaker
  4. logitech g19
The Logitech G19 gaming keyboard model was released in 2009 and continues to be a widely sought after gaming keyboard. This is due mainly to the fact of the color game monitor capable of video play back such as youtube, mini game maps, walk throughs and etc.

With programmable keys you can set-up even during game play and a game panel LCD to keep you informed, you will never have to take a break from the action. Here is a closer look at the Logitech G510.
  6. Logitech Illuminated Ultrathin Keyboard with Backlighting
The Logitech Illuminated Ultrathin Keyboard with Backlighting is a little higher priced that some keyboards but once you see all the features it has you will understand why. First of all you know that when Logitech makes something it is pretty high tech, and the Logitech...
  7. Logitech K750
Logitech has done it again! They have come out with a keyboard that is not only wireless, but runs on solar power. No more battery hassles because Logitech says that any kind of light source will keep this keyboard charged for at least three months. And that is use in total darkness...
  8. Logitech K800
Logitech has other models of wireless keyboards for your laptop or PC, but the Logitech K800 is also illuminated. The keys are brightly lit up in the background making typing even easier, especially in dark or dimly lit rooms...
  9. razer blackwidow ultimate

  12. sidewinder X6
The Sidewinder X6 gaming keyboard replaced the SideWinder X4 in Microsoft's gaming keyboard line up. This keyboard is totally a major step up from gaming on a regular keyboard. First off, let's just get this out of the way, this is not a mechanical keyboard. The key actuations are rubber dome activated.
  13. steelseries 6Gv2
The SteelSeries 6Gv2 gaming keyboard is totally not going to win a backlit beauty pageant. If you are looking for backlit flashy glow, to keep away the monsters at night go elsewhere. This gaming keyboard makes no bones about having substance without the flash.
  14. SteelSeries 7G
The SteelSeries 7G is a 'professional' gaming keyboard. Now before I start writing about the keyboard I'll just talk about what I mean by that. The notion of a professional gamer is an increasing phenomena. Normally that isn't someone who actually games for money (there are few of those outside the gambling circuit) but rather I mean someone who takes their gaming very seriously and who buys useful peripherals for the task.

What's your gaming pc without the best gaming keyboard for you? Incomplete! Buying a keyboard is easy. Buying a gaming keyboard to suit your needs requires a bit of research. Cheap $14 USD keyboards, simply don't hold up to gaming use. I found myself constantly buying new ones because:
  • the keys would start sticking
  • more and more pressure was required pushing down on the key
  • of course the letters rubbed off fairly quickly
    • to be fair though, I like black keyboards, white text just doesn't seem to stay on very well even on high end keyboards not just cheap ones
  • keys just stopped working

Anyway you looking at it, regular keyboard just don't give you the quality and the extras that taking the time to find the best gaming keyboard for you does.

Solid gaming keyboards, they totally rock. There are many types to choose from. In my own search for gaming keyboard nirvana I've found several brands that constantly have contenders for the best gaming keyboard.

For the best gaming keyboard, you will be laying out quite a bit of money. Like everything, quality costs however you do recoup what you lay out in cash by not having to frequently purchase replacements.

If you've need a refresher on the basics about gaming keyboards page discusses the technology types (domes, mechanical, scissor etc) underneath the keys.

Best Gaming Keyboard Brands include:

Gaming keyboard can feature:

  • Gaming Mode – turns off windows key
  • Multimedia controls – sound volume, mute,
  • Backlit – key lighting
  • LCD screen – in game stats, computer performance
  • Fully Programmable Keys
  • Additional Gaming Keys
  • On-The-Fly macro recording
  • Key technology
    • mechanical
    • switch
    • dome
  • Wired
    • USB
    • PS/2
  • Wireless

As for which features are most desirable, it varies for everyone. I like a backlit keyboard, but it's not make or break for my choice. I prefer mechanical switch keys to dome keys every single time. I don't care for LCD on my keyboard, but I don't normally play games where that would matter to me. I like gaming mode, the windows key trips me up while I'm gaming, so I really like disabling it. I like PS/2, yeah I know, I know it's basically dead and I need to let go of it. I like additional gaming keys. While I like macro keys, meh, I can take or leave them. So like I said, it's different for everyone.

I like checking out gaming keyboards. I'm not loyal to any one brand. I have zero problem hopping brands and giving a different board a go. If it doesn't work for me, I've been known to hand it off to my youngest bro and check out whichever one has caught my eye. I have to say though, now that I buy higher quality keyboards, I change them out due to wandering eye rather than a dead board. The hunt for the best gaming keyboard is always something I really enjoy doing.
